A Study on the Lifecycle of Exhibition Industry Development

随着经济全球化的发展、改革开放的不断深入以及社会主义市场经济的不断完善,中国会展业展现出蓬勃发展的势头。经过多年的积累,中国会展业已经初具规模,成为服务行业中一个新的亮点;客观准确定位其所处的生命周期发展阶段,对中国会展产业的可持续发展具有重要的战略意义。本文选取中国-东盟博览会、中国进出口商品交易会(以下简称“广交会”)以及中国华东进出口商品交易会(以下简称“华交会”)三个具有代表性的大型展会为研究对象,将发展情况、成交额、采购商人数等指标进行对比分析,基于产品生命周期理论划分三个会展所处的生命周期阶段,进而探索会展的生命周期,最后对会展产业的生命周期研究得出结论,并为促进展会的发展提出可行性建议。

With the development of economic globalization, the deepening of reform and opening up and the improvement of socialist market economic system, China's exhibition industry has shown a momentum of vigorous development. After years of accumulation and development, China's exhibition industry has begun to take shape and become a new bright spot in the service industry. Objectively positioning the development stage of life cycle has importantly strategic significance for the sustainable development of China's exhibition industry. This paper selects China-ASEAN Exposition, The China Import and Export Fair and The East China Fair as the research objects to make a comparative analysis that are based on the development status, turnover, number of purchasers and other indicators. The life cycle stages of three exhibitions are divided according to the Product Life Cycle Theory. Finally, the conclusion is drawn and feasible suggestions are proposed to promote the development of China.
