联合国教科文组织在《保护非物质文化遗产公约》中提出：“非物质文化遗产指的是被各群体、团体、有时为个人所视为其文化遗产的各种实践、表演、表现形式、知识体系和技能及其有关的工具、实物、工艺品和文化场所”。非物质文化遗产是各族人民世代相承、与群众生活密切相关的各种传统文化表现形式和文化空间。它既是历史发展的见证，又是珍贵的、具有重要价值的文化资源。近年来，随着科技的不断发展，新媒体时代的到来，非遗产文化的传播方式逐渐现代化。新媒体技术冲击了传统手工艺固有的存在形态和静态展出模式，使非物质文化遗产可以动态地展示给人们。本研究的“虚实相生”模型将会以更加新潮的方式，将古老的非遗文化与新媒体大势相融合，将世界的遗珠以新颖的方式呈现在受众眼前。

UNESCO puts forward in the convention for the protection of intangible cultural heritage that “intangible cultural heritage refers to all kinds of practices, performances, forms of expression, knowledge system and skills as well as related tools, objects, handicrafts and cultural sites regarded as their cultural heritage by groups, groups and sometimes individuals.” With the rise of the era of science and technology, the rapid development of new media technology, intangible cultural heritage culture from traditional communication to modern communication has made a great stride forward-from the most primitive oral transmission to today's new media multi-faceted communication. Media technology impacts on the inherent existence form and static exhibition mode of traditional handicraft, so that intangible cultural heritage can be dynamically displayed to people. The model of virtual reality interaction will integrate the ancient intangible cultural heritage culture with the general trend of new media in a more fashionable way, and present the world's relics in a new way.
